out of work irs agentOne way we lose our assets is through confiscatory levels of government taxation.  They force us to give them money for things that they are not authorized to handle, and they turn around and give the money from one group of citizens to another group.  (Cash for Clunkers is a good example, there are thousands more…)

This 5 minute and 37 slide presentation from the Tax Foundation is quick and to the point…

The march to have the top 10% of American citizensd pay the entire cost of government is well underway.  Please take 5 minutes and watch this…

One way to protect your assets is to assist fiscally conservative, smaller government candidates to get elected to local, state and Congressional races.  And make sure that you get like-minded businessmen and -women out to vote in EVERY election.

Being a part of Cash for Clunkers, I agree totally. The idea was not thought out very well. A quick no-fix for a huge problem. The problem lies in the fact the government only uses short term vision, if you can call it a vision in the short term. They rarely, if every, look long term. The affects of the Cah for Clunkers program will devastatte the industry.

Why should our tax dollars pay for anyone else’s purchase, and in what industry does it end?

    Rob,
Americans need to take control by way of the vote. We are falling deeper and deeper into the abyss.

Watched the slide show. I can’t help but notice that the one trillion dollar amount that will be collected is the similar to the debt of your country.

Pretty much everything the Government touches goes to s**t. We expect too much and fail to realize we need to pay for it. We have only seen the beginning of what is going to be a rough period for people who are productive.

Ah, yes, but it is so much easier if folks stick their heads in the sand and say, not my problem.

Who among us really even understands a BIllion dollars much less Trillion. That’s beyond monopoly money.

We have to humanize the debt. We have to humanize the spending.

And, we need to vote with our wallets. No more Hollywood.

One of the primary problems with our government is that it contains so many career politicians that have never worked in the private sector. This is not how the founding fathers envisioned the position of government servant. We need to vote these people out, or enact term limits. In addition, any politician found guilty of a federal crime should not be able to receive his pension. Also, they should be subject to ANY legislation they foist or force on the American people (e.g. health care).

We always have to pay…be it at the front end or the back end. What is so hard to understand about that!
