This is so true. I avoid assumptions as much as possible but usually assume won't do what they say they'll do. I agree with your recommendation to list and keep tracks of our commitments. I personally keep my list fairly short because I like to keep my word, but I sometimes struggle to apply this to promises to myself though. Very good points.
